Sellers United Code of Conduct

All exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees must conduct themselves in a professional manner.  Loud, distracting, harassment, bullying, sexism, discriminatory discussion, actions, visuals, will not be permitted.

Sellers United Suitcasing Policy

What is Suitcasing?

“Suitcasing” and “Outboarding” are unethical practices in which attendees conduct, transact or promote (non-casual) business at the conference and do not have exhibitor booth(s)exhibit or sponsorship.

“Suitcasing” refers to non-exhibiting/non-sponsoring companies or individuals who go to conferences as an attendee and solicit business in the tradeshow aisles, session rooms, or lobbies and common areas in excess beyond casual one-on-one networking.

Sellers United is serious about protecting the investment of our exhibitors and sponsors and ensuring their success at our conferences. As such, the Sellers United Suitcasing and Outboarding Policy will be strictly enforced.

Attendees who engage in suitcasing or outboarding gain an unfair competitive advantage over our exhibitors/sponsors who have dedicated money and resources to fairly participate in the conference.

These actions diminish the size and diffuse the quality of the audience available to exhibitors and sponsors.

Sellers United strictly prohibits “suitcasing” or “outboarding” or ICW by attendees who conduct business at the conference and do not have an exhibit or sponsorship investment at the conference.

Sellers United Code of Conduct

Attendee Policies

  • Individuals/companies may not engage in sales activities while in any official conference space (such as breakout session rooms or in the Expo) or any surrounding public hotel space, including hotel lobbies and restaurants. In no case will the use of conference space or common space for this purpose be permitted.

  • Individuals/companies may not display or advertise products or services of any kind outside of an official exhibit space at conferences where exhibits are present including but not limited to flyers, business cards, or other promotional materials in mass promotion. This includes leaving materials on tables, chairs, or floor.

  • Individuals/companies may not alter official conference badges, lend their badges to colleagues, or register individuals as representatives of their company in order to extend a complimentary registration or discount. The use of deceptive or false registration credentials and/or unethical methods to obtain information and/or gain an advantage over a competitor may result in expulsion of the individual from the conference and future Sellers United meetings.

  • Wearing large promotional attire associated with companies not exhibiting at the event.

Dress Code

To uphold the high standards of our industry, we advise attendees to dress in Business Casual or Business Professional attire.

In order to foster a unified and professional environment, we request that all participants avoid wearing clothing unsuitable for a professional or executive gathering. Acceptable attire includes tailored pants or skirts and collared shirts, while offensive or suggestive clothing and imagery are strictly prohibited.

Additionally, attendees must not wear clothing that promotes companies within our industry except for small pocket logoed polos.

Non-compliance will result in the issuance of an event T-shirt, which must be worn throughout the event. Those who fail to follow this dress code may be asked to leave the event without a refund.

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you confirm that you have reviewed and agree to the Sellers United Privacy Policy.
