Sellers United exists to help people build better businesses through education and high-trust relationships. Everyone at our events deserves a professional, safe, harassment-free experience regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, disability, neurotype, physical appearance, body size, marital status, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
This Code applies at every Sellers United event (in-person and virtual), in any official Sellers United online space, and to any interaction conducted in the name of Sellers United. It applies to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, partners, contractors, staff, and volunteers.
1. Expected behavior
- Treat everyone with professional respect.
- Listen actively and assume good intent until evidence shows otherwise.
- Honor "no thanks" and disengagement signals immediately.
- Respect the confidentiality of conversations and the privacy of other attendees.
- Follow venue rules and the directions of Sellers United staff and venue staff.
- Disclose any material connection (employment, sponsorship, affiliate, financial) when promoting a product or service on stage or in a social setting.
2. Unacceptable behavior
- Harassment in any form, including unwelcome sexual attention, sustained disruption of sessions, intimidation, stalking, following, unwanted photography or recording of another individual, abusive language, and sexual or violent imagery.
- Discrimination based on any protected characteristic, in any form.
- Threats, intimidation, or physical aggression.
- Theft, vandalism, or other property damage.
- Possession of weapons (other than law enforcement carrying in the course of duty), illegal substances, or items prohibited by the venue or by law.
- Recording, livestreaming, or rebroadcasting sessions without explicit Sellers United permission.
- Selling, pitching, or recruiting on the conference floor by attendees who are not contracted sponsors or exhibitors.
- Misrepresenting your identity, company, or affiliation, or wearing someone else's badge.
- Sharing or distributing other attendees' personal information without permission.
- Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
3. How to report a concern
Report a concern to any Sellers United staff member identifiable by a badge marked "Staff" or "Ops." If you would prefer to report privately, use the contact form and select Code of Conduct from the topic drop-down; reports submitted that way are reviewed by Sellers United leadership. Reports are kept confidential except as needed to investigate and respond.
If you or another person are in immediate danger, contact venue security or call 911 first; report to Sellers United afterward so we can support you.
4. Enforcement
Sellers United takes reports seriously and responds promptly. Depending on the facts, response may include: a private conversation, a written warning, a requirement to apologize or to leave the session or event area, removal from the event without refund, exclusion from future Sellers United events, removal from sponsor or speaker rosters, public reporting to the offender's employer or platform, and referral to law enforcement. Decisions are made by Sellers United leadership and are final.
5. Speakers, sponsors, and vendors
Speakers, sponsors, and vendors are held to the same standards as attendees plus the additional standards in their signed agreements. A breach of this Code by a speaker, sponsor, or vendor may result in immediate removal, forfeiture of fees as liquidated damages, and exclusion from future events.
6. Off-event conduct
Conduct outside the official event footprint can fall within this Code if it directly affects the safety, dignity, or business interests of another Sellers United participant in connection with the event (for example, follow-on social media or at-after-party conduct).
7. Changes
We may update this Code from time to time. The current version applies to current and future events. Material changes are flagged in advance through our website or marketing email.
8. Contact
For Code of Conduct questions or reports, use the contact form and select Code of Conduct.
